Our program is designed by professionals with multiple
years experience working with male and female athletes from novice
to professional. We have the tools and procedures required to help
you increase your strength, flexibility, power, and conditioning.

What makes our 8-week program so unique is that we combine footwork,
agility, coordination, core strength, and anaerobic conditioning
into a unique Periodized program based on your playing season and
your training objective:
- The adaptation phase: the first 2 weeks or the startup period
where you ease into the program performing 50 to 75% of the maximum
intensity of each exercise. Basic movement techniques are taught
and mastered. Initial testing is completed in order to monitor
program effects.
- The major training phase: the following 4 weeks are used to
increase the volume and intensity of each exercise - allows
for the greatest neuromuscular and physiological adaptation.
- The power phase: 1 week of ultrahigh intensity exercises are
performed to increase your ability to generate force - the
key to increasing acceleration and power!
- The recovery phase: The final week of the program is used to
taper the exercises and to perform post testing in order to quantify
all of the gains that you have made.
And, to ensure your training is safe and effective, you're given
the exact number of sets, repetitions, and resistance or intensity
to use, and the length of your rest periods for each workout and
each training phase.
The training program is consistently monitored and adjusted in
order to ensure maximal benefit for each participant.

1.
Footwork and Agility:
Regardless of how well you have mastered the techniques and tactics
in your sport, you will not be able to execute those skills if
you have difficulty getting to the location that the skill needs
to occur. The mastery of footwork and agility will allow you to
effortlessly increase your chances of arriving to the location
on the field where you need to be while still focusing on the
tasks to be completed. Furthermore, you will increase your ability
to place your body in the most efficient position allowable to
perform your sport's skills.

Flexibility Training:
Studies show that flexibility training alone can increase running
speed - dynamic flexibility, that is. Our program has a dynamic
flexibility component that will increase functional range of motion
of all joints.

Power Training:
Plyometrics is an effective training method that conditions you
to combine maximal speed and strength to improve your performance.
Our plyometric (or bounding) program is periodized to best increase
your ability to generate power and explosiveness.
4.
Energy System Conditioning:
Because most field sports are not aerobic sports, it is more
beneficial to perform anaerobic energy system conditioning. Our
program involves sprint/interval training to condition you for
your fall sport. We provide you with all of the information necessary,
and administer your workout. Most importantly, because anaerobic
training is difficult, we use methods that make training interesting
to increase your motivation.

Participants
- Boys and Girls 12 and older
Boys and Girls ages 12 and older are eligible for the program.
Training will be age specific and geared towards the athlete
who is preparing for a fall season in their sport.
Dates
- June 6-July 31, 2005
The program will occur two times per week until July 31.
Sessions will last 1.5 hours and will be in the evenings.
Location
- Clear Lake, Tx
Training will occur at Clear
Lake Park in Seabrook, Tx. Clear Lake Park is located
on Nasa Rd 1 directly east of NASA-Johnson Space Center.
